Kodak has announced the Easyshare Z1012 IS Zoom Digital Camera, a 10-megapixel, 12X (36-432mm equivalent) optical zoom camera with optical image stabilization.

It also features advanced settings including program, aperture and shutter priority, as well as full manual mode.

The Kodak Easyshare Z1012 Zoom also has Face detection which locates faces and automatically adjusts the camera settings. Kodak’s Smart Capture system automatically combines several technologies including face detection and backlight correction into a single auto-evaluative shooting mode.

The Z1012 also uses Kodak’s PerfectTouch scene balance processing which corrects exposure issues at the RAW-file level – after capture, but before JPEG conversion.
