In what Fujifilm claims is a world first, it has released the FinePix REAL 3D W3, which can capture stills and HD movies in 3D with playback available on the LCD display without glasses or on 3D HD TV systems using the television’s supplied glasses.

3D panoramic photos are now a reality for everyday photographers, with the introduction of the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 and DSC-WX5 cameras. As part of Sony’s plan to deliver an extensive suite of 3D products and services, the TX9 and WX5 are said to be the world’s first compact digital still cameras able to capture panoramic photos in 3D.
