Four weeks, six days and a handful of hours have passed since tossing the swag on the roof rack and aiming the car in a northerly direction. The once in a lifetime journey was to take me throughout the centre of Western Australia and to some of the most arid, yet hauntingly beautiful landscapes in the country. My destination was genuinely unknown.

The sun is set and the remaining glimmer of daylight casts an inspiring glow across the cityscape. People move through the streets. Heading for your car you pause to wait for the bridal party. Turning back you notice the bride as she pauses in the incandescent glow of a street light. “What a beautiful image” you think to yourself, knowing the spontaneity of this image is almost impossible.
Canon’s New 1000D

Canon has announced its successor to the EOS 400D digital SLR, the EOS 1000D.
The EOS 1000D incorporates a Live View Mode and uses a compact SD memory card for image storage. This also allows users to easily interchange their memory card if they are used to using compact digital cameras and already have a range of memory cards.

Finally Nikon have announced the long awaited and much rumoured D700, a D-SLR with the same FX-format CMOS sensor first introduced with the Nikon D3.
