According to Nikon, the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G, a bright, fast, 50mm fixed focal length (prime) lens, compatible with Nikon FX-format digital-SLR cameras.
The AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G offers blur characteristics and three-dimensional rendering capabilities possible only with a fixed focal length lens.

The Nikon D7000 DSLR is the first of Nikon’s new line of mid-class Nikon DX-format digital-SLR(DSLR) cameras.
The D7000 is equipped with a new CMOS image sensor and a new image-processing engine, EXPEED 2, which Nikon says enables the capture of “high-definition images exhibiting superior image quality”.
